Simon Gold
Simon spent 12 years at Guinness World Records, (formerly The Guinness Book of Records) the world’s best-selling book, initially as a researcher, writer and editor of the main book, and then as author of The Guinness Book of Football. After moving into the TV department as Associate Producer, Producer and then Executive Producer travelling the world in search of the weird and wonderful, he became Head of TV Format Development.
In that role, he created, developed and wrote TV shows and treatments for broadcasters and independent production companies for the domestic and foreign broadcast markets. He started Simon Gold Media in 2008 as a pure copywriting agency and has written online and offline copy for some of the world’s biggest brands including PwC, CNN, Steinway Pianos, Rolls-Royce, Arsenal FC and Cambridge University.
